Ah, what a nice word to receive for today. Anne smiled to herself as she walked a little around church since Grandma Peggy was still speaking with sweet old Emily.

She then noticed in the corner of her eyes the man she had wanted to speak with, Trent. Since she had been busy with the diner as well as Tina, Anne wasn’t able to have time with catching up with Trent. Their last date was amazing too, so she wanted to spend more time with him, and was hoping he felt the same way too.

“Hey, Trent!” she called up to him with a bright tone.

Trent turned to her and he also looked around before approaching her which Anne found a little strange. “Hey, it’s been a while huh?”

“Yeah,” she probably shouldn’t overthink about it. “So, when do you think we can hang out again.”

Hang out? Really Anne? What are we, teenagers? Anne had to give herself a mental facepalm.

“Yeah, we should get together again soon,” he replied.

Trent looked suspicious, but Anne didn’t think too much about his strange reactions.

“Definitely,” she added.

“Well, I have to go. Bye.”

And that was it. Anne watched Trent walk away from her without even giving her the time or date to when this next meeting would be.

What felt worse was when Trent left, she started to feel people looking at her funny. She knew why they looked at her that way too, but she pushed it aside for now since she doesn’t know how to address it. Anne went back to Grandma Peggy and the two went home soon after that.
